WK Digital was founded in 2008 with a simple premise: Australian businesses deserved better software than they were getting. Not software that had been stretched to fit their needs, but software that was built for them.
For the first decade, we focused on WordPress, eCommerce, and custom web applications — building the kind of sites and systems that would have cost triple if the client had gone to a capital-city agency. We learned the sectors our clients operated in: aged care, education, logistics, professional services.
That sector depth is what made the pivot to AI feel natural, not forced. When AI started becoming genuinely useful for business — not just a demo — we were already embedded in the industries where it could do real work. We didn't need to learn the problems from scratch.
Today, most of our new engagements start with an automation or AI integration question. But the custom software work never went away — it just got a more powerful toolset.
