The Situation
Murri Watch runs three distinct programs across Queensland — a Diversionary Centre, a Cell Visitor Service, and a Community Patrol — all focused on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at critical points of contact with the justice system.
Each program had different data collection requirements, different staff workflows, and different reporting obligations. Managing them through manual processes created data duplication, made cross-program reporting difficult, and consumed staff time that should have gone to direct client care.
They needed a system that could accommodate the specific requirements of each program while giving management the unified visibility they needed to report to funding bodies and make operational decisions.

What We Built
Program-specific data capture
Rather than forcing all three programs into a single generic form, we built program-specific data entry flows. The Diversionary Centre uses 15-minute observation interval tracking. The Cell Visitor Service captures information at the point of client contact, including sensitive information that required careful access controls. The Community Patrol uses fast-entry forms optimised for mobile field use.
Each flow captures exactly what that program needs — no more, no less — which drives staff compliance far better than a generic form with optional fields.

Offline capability for field work
The Cell Visitor Service and Community Patrol teams work in environments where internet connectivity can’t be guaranteed. We built offline-capable data collection that syncs when connectivity is restored, ensuring no client interaction goes unrecorded regardless of where it happens.
Unified management dashboard
Management can now see real-time performance metrics across all three programs from a single view — active clients, interactions logged, staff activity, and program-level trends. Funding body reports that previously required manual data extraction can be generated directly from the system.
